These were two texts my friend sent to me the day of the Boston Marathon. I was vacationing in South Carolina at the time and we had been joking about how bad the weather was down there compared to Massachusetts. She also told me she wished I wasn’t on vacation since we had never been to a marathon before. This was less then two hours before.
